The Holy Spirit sanctifies me in the true faith, that is, by faith He works a renewal of my whole life - in spirit, will, attitude, and desires - so that I now strive to overcome sin and do good works (sanctification in the narrow sense). (Ps. 51:10; Rom. 8:9; 2 Cor. 5:17; Gal. 5:22-23; Eph. 2:10; Eph. 5:18-20)
